Young Carers Research Project: Final Report

Carers Australia, Noble-Carr,

Published Literature

2002

This report is the final component of the Young Carers Research Project undertaken by Carers Australia, with funding by Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services. Impetus for this project arose from growing concern among a number of key stakeholders about the lack of recognition of young carers in Australia and the limited understanding of their situation. In addition, it was acknowledged that a national coordinated approach to effectively address the needs of young carers and their families should be based on sound research and the best available information.
