Jing has worked for ten years in the field of disability studies. From 2005-2015 Jing worked at the institute of Sociology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, before joining the Centre for Disability Studies at the University of Sydney. Her PHD research is about adults with intellectual disability and community living in a Chinese context. She has knowledge on disability policies and practices in mainland China, in particular regarding the disability services sector (non-profit orginizations) and employment. Jing achieved her second Masters Degree on comparative and international human rights law (UN CRPD) from NUI Galway (Ireland) in 2014.
