Experiences of family caregiving among older Australian women

Lee, C.,

Academic Literature

2001

This article seeks to explore the effects of family caregiving on physical and emotional wellbeing among a cohort of Australian women aged 70 to 75 years. Data indicates low levels of emotional wellbeing among the cohort, as well as social and individual forces that propel older women into providing family care despite its demonstrably negative effects on their wellbeing.
